Disasters can severely restrict and overwhelm emergency responders, and in some cases communities can be cut off from outside emergency support. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training teaches community members how to prepare for emergencies. Team members learn to take care of themselves and to help others in their communities until first responders arrive.
Classes are offered once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Classes are generally held on either weeknights or weekends.
If you would like to be placed on the next notification list for the CERT Basic Training class please contact the Public Safety – Office of Emergency Management by email or by phone at (303) 651-8438.
